The seminar lasted over 3 hours and every one took something away! After the seminar dinner was graciously hosted by Mike Downing with food provided by Mosafar Wanly. These get together’s are always awesome, great food, good people and am amazing time was had by all.

The next day he continued the series at Mel Locke’s Universal Martial Arts. He started the seminar off with a quick review of the day before and continued with even more concepts, techniques and submissions. At the end of the seminar every one’s minds were blown!!

Thanks to Mike Downing and Mel Locke for hosting Rylan. Congrats to everyone from Corvallis and Camas that recieved promotions and lastly, huge thanks to Rylan Lizares. If it weren’t for you a lot of us would have never played and continue to play jiu jitsu!

This past weekend Professor Pedro Sauer conducted a seminar at Anibal Lobo’s academy in Tigard Oregon. It was an awesome weekend of Jiu Jitsu ! Huge thanks to Anibal Lobo for hosting the seminar. BIG thanks to Pedro Sauer for sharing his amazing knowledge, philosophy, and understanding of jiu jitsu . So many concepts, every one had there mind’s blown!

Pedro started day one in a question and answer format and it was information over load from the beginning! In addition to covering how to counter arm drags and arm drag sweeps he went into how to prevent the arm drag, counters, escapes and the concept behind the position, all this in the first hour! The next 2 hours he continued fielding question and taught a lot about his (and Helio’s) philosophy of jiu jitsu.

After day 1 most people, myself included felt like my brain was going to explode. Day 2 was more of the same! You should never pass an opportunity to attend a Pedro Seminar, it will change the way you view Jiu Jitsu and add so much to your game!

Lastly special thanks to Mica Cipili for making the trip from Vegas and sharing his knowledge as well. If ANYONE goes to Vegas don’t miss the chance to train with Mica, you won’t be disappointed! (http://www.brjiujitsulasvegas.com/)

Great night of Jiu Jitsu as Andy and Louie Hung from Portland Judo(http://portlandjudo.com/) visited Gracie Technics Hillsboro for a newaza clinic!! Every one had a great time as Andy and Louie shared there special and unique blend of Judo and Jiu Jitsu. The brothers hung are easily two of the most personable and technical instructors in Oregon. The night started with a classic Judo through, Ippon Seonagi and ended with Andy’s trademark Ezekiel choke. Look for big things from Portland Judo in 2012!

5 time world champion and the only 4 time no-gi world champion, Caio Terra made his first visit to Oregon and did an AMAZING two day seminar!

On Saturday, December 3rd, his three (plus) hour seminar covered very technical concepts and revolutionary half guard passes. At the end of the day every one was suffering from information over load (and sore necks!). Although it was a lot of information everyone took something away!

On Sunday, December 4th he conducted a second seminar focusing on Terra guard. It was nothing short of AWESOME!

Special thanks to Caio Terra for taking the time to come out and share jiu jitsu with us, Tom Oberhue and five rings jiu-jitsu (http://www.5rjj.com/), Zach Adamson and the Oregon Coast Jiu Jitsu (http://www.orbjj.com/), K.c.
